Mechanical Engineering is one of the core engineering disciplines which deals with design and production of tools, machines and all other mechanical equipments to be used in industries. Mechanical engineering is concerned with all types of machinery in industries and all aspects of their construction and functioning; the design, development, manufacturing, installation, operation and maintenance. A Four year degree course in Mechanical Engineering includes study of IC Engine, CAD/CAM, Material management and strength of materials, Steam and Gas Engines & Turbines and Design and manufacturing of Machines.


The department of Mechanical Engineering will be recognized as having one of the best undergraduate programs. Based on the quality of its undergraduate programs, it will be a department of choice by prospective students, parents, faculty, staff and corporate employers.

It is my proud privilege to welcome you as Dean Academic on the auspicious occasion of your taking admission in SCET. SCET is comparatively a new college, and it came into existence in 2009, with the primary objective of catering all academic/research requirements in the area of technical education and imparting state of the art education to the citizens of INDIA. I wish to inform that SCET started its first academic session of undergraduate academic programs in 2009 with the objective to become leader in providing world class technical education supported by latest technologies available in the area of different disciplines of technology throughout the world.
At present it is successfully running under graduate, diploma programs in all emerging areas of Technology. The programs of Computer Science and Engineering department, Electronics and Communication department, Mechanical Engineering Department and Civil Engineering are running successfully. SCET is committed towards providing highest quality teaching education and producing technocrats who can work on the latest available technologies in the global context… It’s major strength is possession of group of well qualified and dedicated faculty and state of the art equipments in various laboratories. The academic system of college much emphasizes on practical aspects. To fulfill this aim and to provide education according to industrial requirement the extra academic activities like lectures from outside expert / workshops / symposiums / industry visit /conferences and Faculty development programs are organized on a regular basis.
SCET is making sustained efforts towards consolidation of the state-of-the-art infrastructural facilities for teaching and research, attracting highly qualified and motivated staff into the existing pool and ensuring availability of all other amenities necessary for imparting globally relevant technological education.
SCET has already made a roadmap for its development for future years on the lines of Engineering Education and is in real spirit marching on this roadmap for fulfilling the defined objectives.
The institute continues to strive to meet the mission to mold youth into world-class technocrats of tomorrow who would endeavor to increase the quality of life for human kind. The goal is to position the engineering graduates to be problem solvers, project leaders, communicators, and ethical citizens of a global community.
In our education system at SCET, apart from theoretical and practical knowledge, students will able to improve their communication skills, problem-solving skills and reasoning abilities to enable our students to compete at national and international level. So sky is not the limit for the students of SCET
